Kam H.S. Brar
Notary Public, MBA, BSc., CSAKam H.S. Brar has been a practising Notary Public since 2008 when he began practising with his father, Naib Singh Brar. The two Notaries operated jointly out of their office on Main Street in Vancouver’s Punjabi Market area.
In early 2009, Kam opened his own practise in Richmond at 204-6700 No. 3 Road across from the Richmond Centre Mall. Since then, he has been serving the public of Richmond as its 7th Notary Public and is the first that is able to serve in Punjabi as well as in English.
Kam graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Science in Biopsychology and a Minor in Arts. He also completed his Masters of Business Administration in New York, New York. He serves on various committees with the Society of Notaries Public of BC, is the Co-Chair of their Vancouver Chapter.
Nina Sohi-Brar
LLQP, FLMI, ACS, AIAA, BSc. (Hons), MA (Applied Legal Studies)Nina is Kam’s wife and holds a Life and Accident & Sickness insurance license in British Columbia. Nina was previously in that industry for more than 17 years, both in a head office and managerial capacity as well as in a brokerage office. She earned many designations in Insurance during that time.
Nina graduated with an Honours Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto in Environmental Analysis, Biology and Chemistry. She completed a Masters in Applied Legal Studies from SFU in 2010. She also works full-time as Regional Manager with one of the Big 5 Financial Institutions. Furthermore, she co-owns an event management and public relations firm, Gemini Events & Management, with her business partner, Neesha Hothi.
Naib S. Brar
Senior Notary Public, BSc.Mr. Brar Sr. is Kam’s father and affiliate Notary. He has been serving as a Notary Public for more than 26 years and it is an understatement that his reputation speaks for itself. Recently, Mr. Brar Sr. was honoured by the Society of Notaries Public and his colleagues for his longtime service and is a member of the Society’s 25 Year Club. He began his practice in 1984.
Mr. Brar has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and received a designation in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia. He is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi.
Other than being a highly-respected Notary Public, Mr. Brar Sr. is an avid philanthropist, dedicating both time and financial support to the community. He is a member of the Fraserview Rotary Club and is called upon by many non-profit associations as an advisor. For all of his community work, Mr. Brar Sr. was one of 30 recipients of the prestigious Hind Rattan Award awarded by the National Congress of NRIs in Delhi, India in 2009.
